Unit 2: Performance and improvements

Performance

This post is a review of performance and a recommendation of a Nova Tech Computer (2003 model). Due to the age of the computer, the performance of the computer has become gradually slower over time and has a large amount of compatibility issues plaguing the system.

A lot of the components in this model of computer are no longer manufactured become harder to upgrade. Some performance issues can be resolved by installing newer versions of a drivers the drivers already installed into the system.

Improvements

Replacing the Ram in computer system will improve the speed of the computer. Updating the drivers will improve performance and increase the systems chances for compatibility.

Evaluating the performance of a Linux and Windows computer system

Use bench marks to review the performance of a system. Make sure the RAM is installed in pairs e.g. 4GB and 4GB together in the motherboard and take photos of the installation.

Justifying the improvements of a computer system

Screenshot all the tests performed on the computer system. Review the performance after the tests of the computer system and show more evidence of these tests.

Improvements that have been made to a computer system

Saying what problems I have encountered on the system and what usually causes these problems to occur. Use a diagnostic tools to find any more problems. Then say what needs to be done to fix the errors and problems.

With the Nova Tech computer the RAM is the original version from when the computer was bought from the manufacturer in 2003. The best way to improve the speed of the computer was to replace that RAM with larger size RAM that was compatible with the motherboard.
